Nicole, you are more than welcome to join us for Art with Friends whenever you are ready!
Thank you Norene!
Isn’t it? What’s fascinating to me is that by using these AI art tools and exploring what comes from the words and styles, I find myself both expanded in what I feel is possible artistically to be co-created by me… and at the same time feeling much much more connected to simple art that is hand-drawn as well!
Fascinating, isn’t it? Bend the mind to appreciate, become a participant, and appreciation expands and deepens. (Or, it has for me.)
We’re designed I feel to be co-creating and co-inspiring. Here are the words I saw from another AI artist where I felt drawn to their result, and when Norene had her elephants I felt inspired to try it with that:
two elephants walking away side by side , in the style of dark amber and purple, cute and dreamy, 32k, kitsch aesthetic, traditional, cabincore, weathercore
The only part I added/changed was “two elephants walking away side by side.”
Seems pretty insignificant, eh?
But what the tool came up with were 4 choices. I picked the one closest to what I wanted to convey, tried different variations, then chose the one I posted here. Was I an “artist” here? I say so.
I think about the stick drawing I could have tried to be “responding” to what I felt with Norene. And… this AI tool assisted result helped me glow!
What’s truly cool is that there are ways, if I decided to do a stick drawing, for MY stick drawing to act as the inspiration for the AI!
Truly… art with friends using the tools we humans are co-creating to make that expressive for what’s inside us… and cultivating what’s inside us.
I definitely say you are an artist here! And I appreciate that you bring your imagination and AI tool to the group. Your two elephants walking away has given me more ideas/inspiration for my next elephant piece!
Here is “Shannon’s Turtle” … it feels complete to me! Thank you Margo and Jean for all your observations and suggestions as I worked on it! I leave on Sunday for Canada so will not be here with you on Aug. 29th. Keep creating and having fun and I will see you on Sept. 5th!

We would love to have you join us Nicole. You could come in and observe, chat if you wanted and see what it’s all about. We just have fun.
I love this Jean, your style is coming along and taking shape and like Norene I thought this is a self portrait. Is that what you had in mind?
I love this Margo! Loving your style as it’s developing and coming into view
I’d like to keep in mind to join too at some stage. When its summer here and both/ all our daylight savings have clicked in it might be worth my giving it a try again. You’d all need to excuse my lack of verbalising at that time of the morning though
It’d be great to hang out like this
Margo LOVE LOVE LOVE the design, composition, the birds, the black & white … in other words, EVERYTHING about this piece
Well done
Love it! I “riffed” on it using my geekiness. Like yours better and this still made me feel like we were jazzing together. Hope you don’t mind…
You know how much I love this picture you drew with the birdsit was fun watching you create it and us talking about the different colors that could be used. I LOVE the black and white.
Ok here’s mine. I used a picture I saw and liked for my inspiration but of course I had to turn it whimsical.
This is so YOU, Jean. I’m so glad you used the picture you liked as inspiration and not something to replicate exactly. I love the vibrant colors you chose as well as the shapes, numbers and words! Good job!
What a beautiful riff, Rick! I totally get “jazzing together!”
Wouldn’t it be fun to have these crayons
Too funny!
Today we had an appointment and the traffic was crazy. Potholes in the roads too so it was a bumpy ride, This is how I felt when we got home.
Well, that’s expressive! I can feel it!
And I wasn’t even driving. For a while I felt like I didn’t want to go out again for a month.
