Thanks Norene, I almost discarded it until my silly bone kicked in.
This is one of my very favorite pictures! It would be fun to have a t shirt with this on it. Or a big poster hanging on my wall. I’m so glad you were led to create this. It warms my heart along with smiles and some giggles.
I continue to play around with this piece at today’s Art w/Friends gathering. Margo, thanks for your input about the pink/red bird…I think I diminished its presence! I decided to cover up the yellow bird and probably the coiled snake shape too in order to keep the focus on the turtle.
Beautiful Honu, Rick!
Out of the mouths of babes
P.S. Mahalo, Jean for finding this Artist Quote of the Day
Way to go Norene, your turtle pops now. I love it
The overall feeling of your piece is so peaceful and pastoral. Your use of circles and values guides the viewers around your picture. Well done!
Thank you Norene. I didn’t see my picture that way at all. You are helping me notice more and I appreciate you.
Well done, Margo! The colors, values and shapes you chose work so beautifully together!
Today’s Art with Friends was so enjoyable even though I didn’t really create anything today…My intention was to do a piece on elephants, so I ended up going through many files looking for elephant stuff, making a mess of my table and organizing the mess in the end which was a very good thing! I did find a photo I shot while in Africa of two elephant butts! Thank you, Jean for the suggestion to post it, so here it is! It very well may be the reference I need for my next elephant piece.
I love this picture Margo So creative and yes the colors and shapes all make a very nice picture. I’m glad you shared it.
You did it Norene! Yay!
Hi!! First thought that came into my head when I looked at your picture was, Wow Jean did a self portrait and didn’t even realize it!!
what?!?!? mind bending stuff
Loving all of this art and expression and meaning. Maybe when I move there will be more space for me to grow and develop in creating and expressing through art in some way…this is all very inspiring…i am noticing that i am someone who likes to observe and wait and see before I venture forward. time is so important for me.
