This beautiful picture of the ‘family bed’ reaches so deeply inside of me…it makes me take a deep breath and I can feel a release…aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.

Mmmmmmmm nice.
I’ve not seen anything like this before. I did not know elephants did this.
Eleanor O’Hanlon said, “Elephants have a way of being in this world that transcends what we humans label as instinct and survival: they live according to patterns of belonging which are ancient, beautiful and deeply meaningful.” 
I have been painting elephants and all that they evoke in me for some time now…this one was honoring their patterns of belonging.
