Joyful Creative Empowerment Room

Awhile back I wrote in the “Year of Self-Kindness” section about imagining a special healing room called the “Joyful Creative Empowerment” room, and how I could see myself there with others, attending a workshop and learning / practicing empowerment skills together. It seemed to be about creative ways to strengthen our sage muscles together and have fun & humor in the process.

I’m feeling the need to go back to that room again and beginning to suspect that some of my stuckness is due to self-pity, victim parts of me running the show too much. I certainly want to learn self-compassion and self-kindness. But I also need to see when I’m maybe being abit too self-indulgent and letting my sad & angry parts run the show too much for too long.

So I’m going to explore this idea of “Joyful Creative Empowerment” and if anyone else wants to join in and share what they are learning with me, I’d be delighted for the company. I don’t actually have a “workshop” to share here (except in my imagination) - but it’s easy enough to google - “shifting out of self-pity and victim patterns” and see what comes up. I plan to find 5 or 6 tools / ideas that resonate for me and will share them here.

I think I just needed to state this out loud to kind of hold myself accountable. But it also seems more fun to have company on the journey and make the lessons joyful as much as possible. Playful, compassionate, humor companions are most welcome - the door is open and the fireplace is warm…
