Jewel’s Soul Care Treehouse

This sounds even more interesting to me - “The Hidden Origins of Christmas” (more from a pagan perspective / I think they are promoting a paid course, though, but this webinar below is free):

  • Discover the ancient European practice of the Twelve Holy Nights, the liminal time between years when the veils between worlds were said to thin.

  • Explore the shamanic and mythological origins of Christmas, tracing back to Pagan and nature-based traditions.

  • Get inspired on how to experience the liminal time between years with ritual practice, reflection prompts, meditation, and vision work to integrate the closing year, enter the in-between and dream the year ahead.

  • Learn how to work with this liminal time between the years as a time of closure, visioning, and ecological remembrance.

I didn’t end up doing the advent practices above. Instead I created homemade decorations for my little tree, and that turned out to be the perfect heart uplifting practice for my soulcare this season.

Love these wise words by Chris Zydel (Creative Juices Arts):

Some Wishes And Prayers For You During This Season Of Darkness And Light

Holidays are always such a mixed bag for folks.

Especially this one where we’re supposed to be all merry and cheery.

And if you ARE genuinely feeling merry and cheery I party with you joyfully!

But maybe today is no big deal and if that’s the case, rock on!

Maybe you’ve lost someone you love this year and all you can do is cry and miss them. I hold your heart tenderly in mine as your tears continue to flow.

Maybe you are lonely and disappointed in where your life has led you up until now. I see your pain and struggle and wish for you hope in the future.

Maybe you are simply cranky and hating the whole shebang. Can I hear a righteous Right ON!

If you are in the middle of a gorgeous love fest, allow it to soak into every pore of your being and fill you up from your head to your toes.

If you are in need of support, don’t be afraid to ask. There is always someone out there who can respond to your pain, no matter what you may tell yourself to the contrary.

And try to remember this:

Being human is hard. And messy. And freaking weird. And terribly complicated. And often totally confusing.

But a human life is also incredibly full of so much gorgeousness and faith and generosity and quirkiness and brilliance and magnificence and bravery and vulnerability that it makes my heart ache with the blinding beauty and my head explode with the amazingness of it all.

You get to be ALL of that … all at the same time. Because you ARE human. And it doesn’t matter WHAT day it is.

So whether you are happy or sad or pissed off or just kind of OK… I want you to know I see you and celebrate you and am so very grateful to have your wild and wondrous self in my life.

Beautiful. I so appreciate that attitude and people who express it so artfully and those who share the words generously with others (me!). Appreciate you, Jewel!

I love Chris Zydel’s beautifully written wise words for this season. I found myself among the not-so-cheery folk. As I write this, I am completely by myself (except for KC asleep an my leg)…I can’t remember the last time this happened! And, I’m truly enjoying the peace and quiet!

Curious, did the book help in some way? Was there one thing you can recall now that you use when upset or triggered by your mum? Just asking for myself. I struggle to read books like that so anything anyone shares here that works/worked once for them is like gold to me!

Loving all the treehouses on here. I am a tree house lover myself. And I love the rooms you have listed….I have created a bookmark and a reminder a few weeks from now to ask myself what room is a YES for me today?

To be honest I didn’t finish it. Started it and then got distracted - but I tend to buy alot of self-help books and then - well, they are still sitting there in my “library” and I may or may not get around to listening to them someday. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My mom still triggers me - because she’s a bad chronic complainer. And I still tap on it and pray about it and haven’t gotten it all sorted out yet. But yesterday I celebrated having a good supper together with her, after I had been dreading it, but it turned out that she did not complain the whole time and we had a pleasant time together.

New Paths of SoulCare - I asked for and received a scholarship for this year long program called “Night School” on spirituality and healing ( Night School). Part of the deal is for me to share the program with others, so I hope it’s okay to share this link here.

I signed up for this (The Sacred Art of Grieving with Mirabai Starr)

Thought it might help to learn how to move through grief in healthy ways. It’s March 21 & 22, 2026 (free) and there are recordings.

I was thinking about the topic of prayer and somehow stumbled upon this AI that generates prayers for you - (Prayer Generator - Custom Prayer For Healing | Prayer AI).

I decided to give it a try just out of curiosity (and picked “non-denominational” and “conversational” when asked about my tradition and preferences). Here is what I got:

I come before the Divine Source of all life and healing, asking for your
gentle touch upon my body as I navigate this season of illness and pain. I
trust in the wisdom of my body’s ability to restore itself and ask for
strength and resilience as I move through this healing journey, whatever
form it may take. Grant me the courage to face each day with hope, the
patience to allow my recovery to unfold in its own time, and the clarity to
make choices that support my wellbeing. I open myself to receive healing
energy from all sources—from medical care, from rest, from nature, and
from the spiritual comfort that sustains my spirit. May my pain diminish,
my strength return, and my body find its way back to wholeness and
vitality. I am grateful for this life and for the opportunity to heal, trusting
in the compassionate presence that guides and supports me through this
challenging time.
