I know that look…
Something like, “Go ahead, I dare you!” ??
To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.

Wow. I love this concept. Thank you
Me too!
Wow. Speaks to me greatly
Hi fellow co-creators - I stumbled upon these interesting video’s for making art with nature and wanted to share. I think I might give it a try. It’s called “Morning Altars”…
The first video is a fun animation and the second one describes the morning altar process in more detail…

Introduction to Morning Altars
Aloha Jewel Your post about Morning Altars could not have been more timely for me. My life seems to be in the disorganized phase…family dysfunction has once again come to the forefront, I’ve not been unwell, I’ve started a major remodel of my home and my 16 year old cat hates my 1 year old cat. I am going to give this practice a try simply to get out of the house (my comfort zone) to reacquaint myself to my neighborhood by wandering and wondering and maybe even meeting a neighbor. My small front yard has a palm tree that I sense feels unattended so I will set my Morning Altars there. Mahalo nui loa for your post.
Yes. This will feel “essential” when we finally return to Asheville. A couple of weeks at least more. Thanks Jewel!
Lovely morning altar, Norene. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, Rick.
Nature is messy! Walking in it I realize that so profoundly, and it does help calm my impulse to try and force things into “order” that really can’t be…
It is quite beautiful in its messiness. I felt the same thing about mine. As Rick said, “Nature is messy” and so is life. I am going to do my wandering and wondering at the beach today…
Today’s Morning Altar at White Plains Beach. I live on a beautiful island in the Pacific and I have not been to the beach in 7months! Being there today reminded me that the sound of the waves and the slow movement of the clouds have a calming effect on me.
Love this.
Thinking of you Norene. Hope things are going better with your home remodeling challenges and family dysfunction issues (and your cats both young & old). Did you make any more morning altars? (no pressure, just hoping you’re finding creative self-care paths whatever they may be). Hugs.
